Privacy policy

Last updated: 3 October 2026

ConceptClear (“we”, “us”) runs an online exam-preparation platform at conceptclear.in and in our mobile app. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we use it, and the choices you have. We collect only what the service needs, and we do not sell your information or show advertising.

1. Information we collect

Account details — your name, email address and/or mobile number, and a password (stored only as a one-way hash; we cannot read it). Optionally, a profile picture you upload.

Your study activity — the exams you choose, lessons you open and complete, answers you give in practice and tests, scores, bookmarks, and notes and attachments you write. This is what powers your progress, weak-topic and revision features.

Payment information — when you buy a plan, the payment is processed by Razorpay. We receive and keep the plan, amount, status, payment method type (e.g. UPI, card) and Razorpay reference IDs, plus the email address and phone number you entered at checkout. We never receive or store your card number, CVV, UPI PIN or bank login.

Referral payouts — if you use Refer & earn, the UPI ID or bank account details you give us for paying your rewards.

Technical information — when something fails, we record the error, the page or feature involved and your account ID so we can fix it. We do not record what you typed into forms.

2. How we use it

  • To create and secure your account and keep you signed in.
  • To show your syllabus, track your progress and build practice and revision from your own results.
  • To process payments, activate plans, issue invoices and handle cancellations.
  • To pay referral rewards you have earned.
  • To answer your support requests and fix problems.
  • To send service messages such as password-reset codes and, if you turn them on, study reminders.

3. Who we share it with

We share personal information only where needed to run the service:

  • Razorpay, our payment processor, which handles your payment under its own privacy policy.
  • Our hosting provider, which stores our servers and database on our behalf.
  • Authorities, where Indian law requires it.

If you were referred by a friend, they see only that someone joined with their code — your first name and a partly hidden email — never your full contact details.

4. Cookies and local storage

We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies. Your browser or device stores your sign-in token (so you stay signed in) and your light/dark theme choice. Clearing site data signs you out.

5. How long we keep it

We keep your account and study data while your account is open. When you ask us to delete your account, we delete your profile, notes, attachments and progress. Payment and invoice records are kept for as long as tax and accounting law requires, even after an account is deleted.

6. Your choices and rights

  • You can update your name, picture, exams and notification settings in Profile at any time.
  • You can ask us for a copy of your personal information, or to correct it.
  • You can ask us to delete your account — see Help & support.
  • You can withdraw consent to optional messages by turning notifications off.

To make any request, email conceptclear99@gmail.com from the address on your account.

7. Security

Passwords are hashed, connections are encrypted, and access to your data in our systems requires your signed-in account or an authorised administrator. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong password and keep it to yourself.

8. Children

ConceptClear is meant for people preparing for competitive and recruitment exams. If you are under 18, please use it with the involvement of a parent or guardian, who should make any purchase.

9. Changes and contact

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top, and tell you in the app if the change is significant. Questions or complaints: conceptclear99@gmail.com.
